Did you ever wonder where that car that was in your rear view mirror
for blocks and blocks, tailgating you, suddenly disappear to?
Good question. And have you ever wondered why you often see a shoe in the road, and then only one? It’s one of life’s great mysteries.
Yes, I have wondered about that – but I found out why shoes are often seen hanging over wires at intersections.
One night a cop car pulled up in my driveway and out of the car stepped by sock-footed 16 year old son! As I rushed to open the door, the cop started talking immediately – “Everything’s all right, Ma’am, he said, I’m just bringing your boy home ‘cause his shoes got stolen at the dance at the gym, and I need your signature to document it.” Whew – and we never found his hanging shoes!
Right…well there you have it! I guess we Americans have a “shoe fetish!”
